Welcome to the website of the International Folklore Festival Zeeland.
Using the slogan “Zeeland meets the World”, the festival will be organized for the 35th consecutive year.
The 2009 edition will take place from Saturday July 18th until Sunday July 26th. This year the organization again succeeded in establishing a program that fully reflects the internation character of the festival. Ensembles from the following countries will be present: Slovenia, Georgia, India, Costa Rica, Belgium and The Netherlands. With this program, the primary goal of the foundation, which is to show the inhabitants of the region Zeeland and the tourists, a variety of cultures by showing them dances and music from all over the world, is fully met.
Thanks to financial assistance of sponsors and local / regional authorities, and the voluntary support of guest families and co-workers, we succeeded in offering all our shows for free.
